What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that my relationship with my clients is the most important tool for effective work. It is important to me that I use my client's experiences to create a personalized therapeutic approach as a team. I love to use humor and a focus on strengths as a way to help clients reach their goals. Megan Pardy received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as her Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University. Mrs. Pardy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#202912). She is experienced in running Pre-Marital workshops and is trained in the ‘Great Start’ Pre-Marital Curriculum as well as the most widely used and proven curriculum, Prepare Enrich. She previously interned at Hospice of Lubbock providing grief counseling and running grief support groups. Mrs. Pardy also interned at Texas Tech University’s Counseling Center providing individual and couples counseling to a wide range of clientele. Mrs. Pardy spent several years working with families offering family counseling and parenting skills with a program under the Family and Youth Services sector of the state government. Her specialties include individual and couples counseling, premarital counseling, life transitions, anxiety and stress reduction, female empowerment, LGBTQIA+ counseling, grief and loss, coping skills, and parenting skills.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use a combination of Contextual and Solution-Focused Therapy with my clients, which means that I begin my work by gathering as much information as possible and using that context to create solutions and goals specified to their story. I believe it to be important to collaborate with my clients at every step of the way so that we are navigating the process as a healthy team.

More information on payments and coverage

A deposit is required to reserve your initial appointment with one of our therapists. The deposit is equal to the cost of your first session and will be applied to that session automatically once the session has been completed. However, as per our general financial policy, if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, this deposit can be refunded back to you upon request or applied to your first session if you reschedule. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or no show, this deposit will not be refunded or applied to future sessions. Our clinicians’ time is important to us and to others who are hoping to utilize the open slots on their schedules, so we do ask that you notify us as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it so we can make that slot open to others who are in need of therapeutic assistance. Payment in full is expected at the time of service. Our fee structure is based on an hourly rate. If sessions lasting longer than an hour are scheduled or occur, the fee will be prorated at the same hourly rate. Will I Be Reimbursed for Out-Of-Network Therapy? In most cases, yes. Stanford Couples Counseling is happy to offer a superbill upon request which you may be able to file with your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. This means you will need to pay your therapist for the entire session when you receive their services, but your insurance company may be able to send you a check to reimburse a portion of the cost once you file an out-of-network reimbursement claim. **Please contact your insurance provider to check whether you qualify for out-of-network reimbursement benefits**
