Able Orthopedic & Sports Medicine is headed by
Dr. Mehran Manouel, a board certified orthopedic surgeon and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (F.A.A.O.S.).
With over 20 years of experience performing Arthroscopic Surgery, with an emphasis on ACL Knee Reconstruction and Shoulder Rotator Cuff Repair, Dr. Manouel helps patients of all ages to resume normal activities. He also specializes in treatment of Arthritis and Osteoarthritis.
He is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and following his residency in orthopedic surgery he completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at renowned Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, which has one of the top ranked Sports Medicine programs in the United States. During his time in Houston he participated in the care of professional athletes including players from the NFL's Houston Oilers football team, the NBA's Houston Rockets basketball team, and MLB's Houston Astros baseball team.
Dr. Manouel is a former Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, leading the training of orthopedic surgery residents and interns at Mount Sinai and Elmhurst Hospitals, as well as surgical and clinical training of Senior Orthopedic Residents from various leading hospitals in New York,including Lenox Hill,Kingsbrook Hospitals,and Beth Israel Medical Center.

This guys was the worst dr. I have ever seen he billed my insurance for an examination. He never even touched me. Never spoke to me reffered me for an mri. Never spoke to me on the follow up except to get skme rest and take some advil. Went to a different dr and he said my case was so severe and afyer 8 weeks of pain and muscle weakness i would need a disk replacement. But said i should try an injection first. Mr manouel was the worst. Just wants to bill you insurance doesnt care about you.

I didn’t feel confident or confortable with him. The x rays or paper work he doesn’t look at it. Less than 5 minutes taking to me. Very unprofessional I was waiting for him at the office and when he walked in I thought he will introduce he’s self but not????he doesn’t say good morning nothing just why you here??????I was in shock I didn’t if was a doctor ????? or someone else this was my first time with this doctor ????? I won’t going back again the doctor am maybe be good But not professional not listen carefully cares about money ?? and he’s staff nasty ?? and rudely completely dissatisfied and disappointed ?? with all of them. No going back????????????

Dr. Manouel not only diagnosed the cause of my pain (running injury) and told me how to treat it, but he showed me some more effective stretches to help prevent future injuries. I really appreciated his expertise and he was very nice and helpful. Would go back, highly recommend.

I waited 2 hours because the doctor had an “emergency “ and went to the ER, which would have been okay had they at least told all the patients sitting there waiting.
Secondly, i sent for swelling in my finger, they took X-rays, they were negative for everything but he didn’t try to find a cause, and told me he wasn’t worried about it. I still have the swelling and the cream he said he’d prescribed was never sent to my pharmacy. Horrible experience.
