“Meibol is incredible, I’d recommend her to anyone in a heart beat. However, the help dealing with billing is unfriendly and lazy. My insurance, which is the same one I’ve used for every visit I’ve ever had, was coming up as inactive. They told me about it on the phone and since I was coming from the emergency room and had risk of miscarriage I kept the appointment and paid out of pocket to see the doctor quickly. I called my insurance they told me they corrected their system and to just ask the office to bill them and they would cover the services and the office could reimburse me. This is standard and a non issue at any normal medical facility. Woman at the office said they WOULD NEVER do that because they would have to deal with denials if it came back inactive still… as if this isn’t part of their job. I then asked for an itemized bill to get a reimbursement directly from my insurance and they said it takes 4-6 weeks to get it… in this day and age that is incompetency.”

About Meibol Mas San Juan
Meibol began her career in medicine at the Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Granma Medical School in Manzanillo, Cuba, where she graduated as an MD in 1996. She spent 12 years practicing general, gynecologic, and emergency medicine at the Hospital General Municipal Gustavo Aldereguía and community clinics.
In 2008, Meibol relocated to South Florida with her family. She earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Miami Regional University and now practices as an APRN focusing on women’s health.

I needed care while on a business trip. Booking the appointment was easy, finding the office was easy, check in was smooth and I was seen within 15 minutes. My doctor listened attentively to current conditions that affect medication choices and treatment. The office sent my visit record to my PC9 at home so I can follow up and they called in my prescription. It was ready in 20 minutes. Minus the being sick part, the morning was great.

She was amazing! This was my first time ever going to a gyno appointment and she made me feel super comfortable. She explained everything in a very easy but straightforward way, she answered all of my questions, included my husband in the conversation as well. She was recommended to me, and I will be recommending her as well. I am very happy that I went to her.

I went to see this doctor and I’m guessing she never actually submitted my Pap smear because my new doctors office can’t find record of it from a lab anywhere. They most definitely charged my insurance for the visit and no results can be found 2 months later!

Very sad to write this review but having seen many doctors and working in the healthcare field myself I have never experienced the service I received here. While the front desk and clinician (Meribol) were very nice, we ran many blood test, to which I was told I would receive a phone call about to discuss when results came in.
It has been nearly a month and Meribol Mas San Juan will not respond to my calls or messages on their portal. It took 4 people to get my blood and and I was there 1.5 hrs. When I've reached out I was told I have to book another appointment to discuss lab results because the do not provide 'telehealth'. Another appointment, more spend. Calling re: results is not telehealth. Its normal practice. Why tell me you would call and then try to force another appointment.
Also, I ask clinicians to not push the 'have a baby soon, why havent you' on someone 40 who is childless. I want kids, it hasnt happened for me and this is a little hard to hear over and over.

The doctor is very good.
But in general when I have the anual appointment with the doctors, never ask me about my health in that year, is different appointment if I have one symptom or something unusual in that time. I assume every doctor can be verified my health…. But only the test or something simple and that’s all. How impersonal I feel my anual appointments. Very disappointed.
