Melanie Cap, SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
FL
I am pediatric SLP and the owner of CAP Speech Therapy, a concierge-based practice designed to provide highly individualized, relationship driven care for children and their families. With a background in Deaf Studies and advanced training in oral motor therapy, including Beckman certification, I specialize in supporting children with speech, language, and feeding challenges through evidence based and functional approaches. In addition to direct care, I lead and mentor a team of seven therapists, ensuring that every family we serve receives consistent, high quality support. My role allows me to oversee clinical programming, guide treatment planning, and maintain a standard of excellence across all providers. This structure gives families the benefit of both individualized attention and a collaborative team approach. Our practice has been recognized twice in ASHA magazine, reflecting our commitment to innovation and meaningful outcomes in the field of speech-language pathology. I have also developed a globally recognized parent coaching program that empowers caregivers with practical strategies they can confidently use in everyday life. This program is a cornerstone of our model, as I strongly believe that progress happens most effectively when families are supported and involved. Our concierge model sets us apart from traditional clinic based therapy. Rather than requiring families to travel to a clinic, we provide services in natural environments such as the home, community, or school. This approach allows therapy to be more functional, accessible, and relevant to each child's daily life. It also supports stronger rapport, increased engagement, and consistent carryover skills. Our services are offered in English and Spanish for both in-person and teletherapy. My goal is to provide a level of care that we rarely see nowadays. Every child and family is unique, and our approach reflects that by prioritizing flexibility, connection, and real world progress.
