The nurse was able to bring me back to begin my evaluation right away, even though I was early. Dr Hoiland was friendly and personable. Helped talk me through the transition to a new clinic, and obviously knew a lot and loves what she does. 5 stars”

About Melanie Hoiland
I enjoy meeting and providing care to patients of all ages. It is an honor spending time with each of you, and I find I learn as much from you as you do from me. I especially have a soft spot in my heart for teens and young adults. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, and completed my Bachelor's in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. When I'm not caring for patients, I'm usually planning my next gardening project. I'm always trying to figure out how to redesign the landscape and get more flowers and vegetables in my yard. In addition to gardening, I enjoy hiking and camping with my family. One of our goals is to visit as many National Parks as possible.

Melanie has always been my favorite if I need to go to the clinic for anything. She’s a good listener, answers my questions and explains things well. She seems to understand the aging process and what should be looked into and what’s a side effect of growing older.

We have been going to this clinic for over 30 years and have always found working with the staff very easy. The staff from the moment you walk in the door is attentive, friendly and ready to help, I have seen various doctors, although I have my primary, Sagedahl, but it makes no different, all have listened to whatever ailment I come in with and explain so that I can easily understand. Northwest Family Physicians is like family and after 30 years they know me pretty well.
