About Dr. Melissa Doft
Dr. Melissa Doft is a plastic surgeon treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. She holds certification from the American Board of Surgery. I never thought I would be in a plastic surgeon's office at the age of 21, but there I was. I went to Dr. Doft to get a breast reduction after years of back pain. Now that I've undergone the surgery, I couldn't be more elated with the experience I had with Dr. Doft. Throughout the whole process Dr. Doft was both incredibly professional and realistic, whilst also being incredibly kind. Even in the operating room, before I was promptly put under, Dr. Doft held my hand as I was shaking (I am a bit of an anxious individual).
That same day (the day of my surgery) every nurse who read my chart couldn't help but tell me what incredible breast work Dr. Doft does, and they were SO right. I am so happy with new chest. Dr. Doft also made sure to make our appointments work around my schedule (as I am a college student out of state) which made the whole process so much easier. Dr. Doft is a doctor who definitely has her patients' best interest in mind and I would recommend her to everyone.

I lost a meaningful amount of weight and was so proud of my overall transformation, but there were parts of my body that made me insecure including my breasts and some pockets of fat.
During my consultation, Dr. Doft listened carefully and also had an intuitive sense as a woman of what I wanted, but couldn't seem to verbalize. I knew in that moment that I had found the right surgeon. I felt instantly comfortable with her, and her office manager (Michelle) was incredibly thoughtful in getting everything set up. On my day of surgery, Dr. Doft talked me through the details, and everything went incredibly well.
My results are just beautiful and its been only six weeks - I am so happy to see my body and to see a reflection that matches how I saw myself on the inside. I am truly so grateful to Dr. Doft, and I would highly recommend her.

I was nervous about seeing a plastic surgeon, as I hadn't any need to before. I went in for a breast reduction consultation, and Dr. Doft was lovely. Her receptionist was kind and even though the appointment time had been mixed up, she fit me in just an hour later that day. Dr. Doft talked me through the basic procedure, answered my questions honestly, and gave advice based on personal experience and other patients. Only took a month to get approved by insurance, and I'm glad I have Dr. Doft by my side for the procedure!

I cannot recommend Dr. Doft highly enough. Not only did she deal with the whole process of getting my surgery covered by my insurance, she was open and informative about the surgery itself, and the results are exactly what I had hoped for! She really listened to me, and somehow delivered more than what I thought was possible. I am so grateful that I was able to have her as my surgeon; I really can't say enough, except that she's truly a great doctor!

Dr. Doft deserves high praise. Had to have a large birthmark removed and was quite nervous about it. She made me feel very comfortable. She is friendly and knowledgeable. The stitches are minimal and really well done.
Her receptionist went above and beyond to help me clear up insurance issues. The office is clean and comfortable.

Dr. Doft was beyond fantastic. She called me the day before my scheduled apt and had calmed my nerves about the possibility of surgery. She was soothing and calming and had reassured me that it was a warm and home-like atmosphere, and that I was in the right hands. When I went in to her office, I was greeted by wonderful women and was seen immediately. The office was beautiful and Dr. Doft was exceptional. She was sympathetic to my issues, helped me understand the pros and cons of the procedure, and reassured me that she was going to work with my insurance company to have this procedure done. I have never felt so excited and so comforted with a physician in a long time. She was 'human' and her bedside manor was phenomenal. I can not wait see her again. I know she has my best interests at heart.
