"Hi there! My name is Missy. I’ve been a dietitian for almost 6 years now! To be honest, it’s been a wild journey for me. I grew up in Bufffalo, NY in a plus-sized body, chronically sick and never participating in gym class. After moving to Florida and losing 70 pounds, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and had to relearn everything I thought I knew. Since then, I got a Master’s in Exercise & Nutrition Science, became a Registered Dietitian, and became a virtual consultant for UMass’ IBD program. I’ve also worked in eating disorder facilities and acute hospitals for the past 5 years. I feel well rounded and well-versed in most areas of dietetics. My goal in working with you is to develop a relationship and get to know you on a personal level. Our relationship with food is often sacred, and I want to make reaching your goals easy, stress-free, and enjoyable. Often it feels complicated and complex to start any health journey, but with me as your guide, I hope to help you feel supported, safe, and most of all free, when it comes to food and your health. "
