Getting to know Melissa Kidby
Many people are fearful of having a mental health diagnosis. My goal is to reduce and/or alleviate symptoms so those I work with can begin to walk the path of wellness. To meet this goal, I engage in a thorough 2-hour initial assessment. During this appointment, we discuss your history, I order laboratory studies, discuss the benefits of genetic testing, and together we develop a treatment plan.
I only offer a telehealth option. Hablo Español. To achieve wellness, I utilize many tools such as prescribing medications, recommending supplements, and suggesting you obtain a therapist. I also can recommend many other resources in our area that may assist in your journey toward wellness.
At each appointment, we measure progress and discuss the goals that have been set. Sometimes we need to revise our plan to achieve these goals, and that is okay. I build an individualized plan for each patient because every person is different, and no one plan works for all.
I hold a Master's degree in Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of South Alabama, which informs my comprehensive and compassionate approach to care.
