Psychologist

Professional statement

Depression. Anxiety. Stress. Insomnia. Grief stemming from divorce, job loss, death of a loved one. Feeling stuck. Difficulties at work and in relationships. Feeling Lost. Overwhelmed by self-doubt. Continuing to do things that are bad for you. Needing to clear everyday concerns. I'm trained to help. As a Clinical Psychologist in NYC for over 20 years, and as Senior Supervising Psychologist at a major metropolitan hospital, where I supervise and train other clinicians, I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families. I provide my clients the space to better understand themselves, gain new perspectives and greater insights resulting in better choices and improved quality of life. Our work together provides you with the tools to cope with life's inevitable pitfalls and obstacles. As a result my clients experience lasting benefits, including improved relationships, a more satisfying career, and in general, greater stability in life. In my practice I feel strongly that the clinician/patient relationship is collaborative. I see my role as a facilitator to uncover the root of problems with the goal of living a more fulfilling life. My compassionate, non-judgmental approach clarifies and reduces psychological problems and conflicts by gaining greater insight into thoughts, feelings and actions that are often outside of one's awareness. Life can be difficult, and at times painful and challenging. As your collaborative "partner" this therapeutic process will provide a time and place to reflect, an oasis, of sorts, to focus on one self, experience being heard, eliminating the competing distractions of the outside world. Although I do not accept insurance, I will provide you with a statement to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

Dr. Kresch she was a great listener. We came to her with a very complex problem in our fairly recent yet very intense relationship. She asked good questions and really knew how to help us open up. I am glad we found her!
