Prior to being a PMHNP, I worked for nearly a decade in the bedside RN nursing field in various settings from correctional facilities to a respiratory recovery unit in the hospital in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. During COVID-19, I achieved my Family Nurse Practitioner. Shortly thereafter, I realized the need for greater focus and better treatment of mental health. Then I went back for my PMHNP post-masters certificate, allowing me to be a board certified PMHNP, and therefore prescribe mental health medications. I am constantly learning more about mental health treatments. I have attended and continue to attend PMHNP conferences regularly to stay on the cutting edge of psychiatry. My practice goal is to use evidence-based practices to assess, evaluate, diagnosis and treat mental health conditions across all ages through medication management along with add-on therapy time. I am able to order GeneSight testing to help guide medication management decisions, and do this fairly often for my clients.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
