Ms. Morgan is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a multifaceted background in healthcare. She earned her Associate's degree from AdventHealth University, her Bachelor's degree from Western Governors University, and her Master's in Nursing from Walden University. In addition to treating mental health concerns in the community, she has extensive experience working with Veterans and First Responders to address their mental health needs. Prior to focusing on psychiatry, she spent 14 years in the demanding field of ER/Trauma nursing, honing her skills in crisis management and acute care. Ms. Morgan brings a compassionate and insightful approach to treating mental health conditions and is known for her ability to easily establish rapport and offer practical, effective, patient-centered care. She is committed to improving the mental well-being of individuals and families.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I love what I do! I rely on a combination of education, clinical, and real life experience to guide my treatment recommendations. I can relate to many of the situations my clients are facing; feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities, parenting, relationship difficulties, struggling with life changes, grief, illness, trauma...Ive been there too.
Every client is unique, and I believe that taking the time to understand and each client's situation is a fundamental component to developing an effective treatment plan.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our first session will be focused on identifying what symptoms or behaviors, are interfering with your work, relationships, or overall functioning. We will discuss a variety of topics including but not limited to; family history of physical and psychiatric illness, personal history of physical and psychiatric history, social & academic development, current and past support systems, work and home environment, relationship supports & stressors.
