About Melissa O'Shea

Her mother recalls Melissa reading the nutrition facts label on cereal boxes as a child. After pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology, Melissa earned a Master's in Nutrition Education from Columbia University and completed her Internship in Dietetics there as well to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Before joining the Culina Health team, Melissa spent the majority of her career in corporate wellness, providing lectures and counseling services to employees. She has served as an Adjunct Professor for several years teaching nutrition courses and was the Director of Nutrition for a national spa chain.

Melissa exceeded my expectations. She was very thorough in her explanations and made sure that I understood everything as we went along. She also allowed space for me to ask questions. I did not feel like I was only given instructions to follow, but more like we are going to be a team and work together with my health plan.
