Melissa grew up in Springfield, Missouri before heading south to attend National Park Community College in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she earned an associate degree in Nursing. She then continued her education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fort Smith, graduating as Nursing Valedictorian with a Bachelor's degree. Melissa moved to Colorado and began working at a hospital in Colorado Springs, where she held various positions from staff nurse to manager. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing ? Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and has been working in family practice in Pueblo West, Colorado for the last two years. Melissa's clinical interests range from women's health to mental health to pediatric care.
?My goal is to meet people where they are, and through communication, compassion, and teamwork promote health and wellness for patients, families, and our community.?
When not caring for patients, Melissa enjoys reading, crafting, riding her motorcycle, playing disc golf, and spending time with her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, along with their rescue dog and cat.
