Melissa Vargas, SLP, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
MD
The provider is a licensed SLP in the state and their license number is (41YS01236400). Hi! I’m Melissa. My passion for becoming a speech-language pathologist began when I was working in early intervention. Seeing the impact that communication support had on young children and their families was incredibly rewarding, and it inspired me to pursue my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. As I continued in the field, my interest naturally expanded to working with individuals across the lifespan. I discovered how powerful and life-changing speech and language therapy can be not only for children, but also for adults facing communication or swallowing challenges. Today, I’m grateful to serve both populations, helping each person find their voice and improve their quality of life. I am a Bilingual (English-Spanish) provider with clinical experience working in the outpatient clinic setting and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). I approach therapy with a holistic, client-centered, functional, and highly individualized style. I incorporate routines-based practices to support meaningful carryover, and I prioritize family involvement, strengths-based strategies, and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
