About Merna Shenouda
Merna Shenouda, MPAS, is a board-certified physician assistant licensed in New York State specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is dedicated to provide her patients with individualized and quality medical care with empathy. She is passionate about giving comprehensive patient education, using evidence based medicine, and keeping up to date with the latest medical and cosmetic advancements in the field of dermatology.
Merna was born in Egypt and raised in Queens, New York. She is fluent in both English and Arabic. She completed her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at the City University of New York Queens College. Post-graduation, she worked as a medical assistant at Brooks Dermatology while applying to PA school. It is here that she developed a passion for dermatology. She then earned dual degrees including a Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University. While in PA school, Merna gained advanced healthcare training in her clinical rotations throughout the NYC boroughs. During her free time, she frequently enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and friends, and watching Broadway shows.

Outstanding visit! She took the time to explain everything to me and listened to my concerns. I finally felt HEARD after visiting other derms in the past. Really love her. I will definitely be back. Had an amazing experience with PA Merna. She quickly alleviated my concerns and handled it efficiently. I was scared of the (small) procedure and she tested it in a small section before providing me with the option with a topical anesthesia. Would highly recommend.

They came into the building. The office was right there when I tell you immaculate the front desk staff was very accommodating and nice when the doctor came in she was lovely. After going to urgent care, a different dermatologist and the ER, Merna was the ONLY one to give me medications that helped with my rashes. After trying so many different allergy medicines, so many different creams, and steroids, nothing was working. She immediately gave me something much stronger and what a difference it made. I definitely wish I came to her first and definitely won’t be going anywhere else in the future. Highly recommended dermatologist who cares and knows her stuff!

This was my first visit to Brooks Dermatology, and I was thoroughly impressed. I needed a quick appointment and chose this office based on the excellent reviews, which did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the friendly front office staff. The office itself is spotless, well-maintained, and has a pleasant ambiance.
