About Michael Anderson
Michael (Mike) Anderson, NP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a clinical focus in dermatology. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Mike earned a football scholarship to the University of Iowa. After his athletic career, he returned to Utah, completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Utah, and then moved to Kansas City. There, he gained extensive experience as an ICU nurse, working in surgical, medical, transplant, neurological, and burn units. After six years in critical care, he pursued his nurse practitioner degree and discovered his passion for dermatology during a clinical rotation.
After graduation, Mike began his career in pain management and also worked part-time as a hospitalist in Arizona. He later transitioned fully into dermatology and has been dedicated to the field ever since. His clinical interests include diagnosing and treating skin cancer, acne, and psoriasis.
Mike recently returned to Nevada to be closer to family and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle he loves. Outside of work, he stays active through hiking, camping, skiing, and fishing. He is a dedicated football coach, a fitness enthusiast who has competed in bodybuilding, and an active volunteer at food shelters and food storage organizations.
