UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. Many people find themselves with blockages that prevent them from achieving certain things in life. My approach in therapy is called Resistance Analysis. The patient makes a contract in therapy agreeing to tell the story of their life in an emotionally significant way. My job as the therapist is to enable the patient to fulfill the terms of the contract. When they can do that, they are cured and able to reach their life goals. The way I help is to resolve the patient's resistance by meeting the patient's maturational needs. From the first session, patients should have a clear idea of what they need to do in order to get better and how I am going to help them do that. I earned my PsyD from St. John's University, which has equipped me with the training and skills to effectively guide patients through this process.
