What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe the best psychiatric care comes from truly understanding the whole person—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping patients make meaningful improvements in their daily lives. I work with adults experiencing substance use disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. With experience in both primary care and psychiatry, I take a comprehensive approach that considers mental health, physical health, lifestyle, and medication interactions when developing treatment plans. I place a strong emphasis on evidence-based treatment, clear communication, and realistic treatment goals. Together, we'll develop a plan that is tailored to your needs and focused on long-term success—not just short-term symptom relief.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment of your substance use, mental health, medical history, and personal goals. Many patients also experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or sleep difficulties, so we take a whole-person approach to care. Together, we create an individualized treatment plan that may include psychiatric medication management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), therapy recommendations, recovery support, and coordination with other providers when needed. My approach is collaborative, practical, and nonjudgmental. Follow-up visits focus on tracking progress, addressing challenges, adjusting treatment as needed, and helping you build long-term recovery and emotional stability.
