“Mike Christensen, PA-C, has been outstanding to work with. From the very first appointment he took the time to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and really understand both my medical history and the challenges I’m dealing with. His approach is calm, professional, and highly knowledgeable, and he explains things in a way that is clear and practical. It’s obvious that he genuinely cares about his patients and takes his responsibility seriously. What stands out most is his balanced approach to treatment. He is thoughtful about medication management, attentive to details, and focused on creating a plan that actually works for the individual patient. I never feel rushed during appointments, and I always leave feeling like my concerns were heard and addressed. If you’re looking for a psychiatrist who is compassionate, attentive, and truly committed to helping people improve their mental health, I would strongly recommend Mike Christensen. ”

Michael really listened to me and what I was struggling with to help manage my symptoms moving forward.
????? I had a very frustrating experience with Mike. During the appointment, I explained what my therapist recommended. I was clear that I cannot tolerate jittery meds due to PTSD. Despite this, Mike pushed Concerta leaving out the meds delivery system. After taking it, I experienced exactly that. When I followed up, my experience was ignored. After I stated that I would not continue the medication, Mike continued to PUSH me to stay on it. The conversation repeatedly redirected back to continuing. I was also told many times that a new script would be sent to the pharmacy, but it wasn’t. I was then told I couldn’t change medications for 14 days, which was inaccurate. Then I was told to pay more if I wanted to continue trials. Communication throughout this process was difficult. My concerns were ignored, which felt like medical gaslighting. Overall, this felt like a non-collaborative experience where my boundaries were not respected. I lost both time and money dealing with Mike.
