“I drove over 4 hours from Traverse City just to see Dr. Michael Fleischman and it was completely worth it. I had heard he was the best and he truly lived up to it.
From the moment I walked in, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The office itself is beautiful and filled with really cool sports memorabilia, which made it feel comfortable and unique. Even the coffee in the lobby was great, which was such a nice touch after a long drive.
Dr. Fleischman took the time to really listen to me, answer all of my questions, and explain everything clearly. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but also kind and genuine in a way that immediately puts you at ease.
You do not drive that far unless you trust someone, and now I would not go anywhere else. I am so glad I made the trip. Highly recommend to anyone, even if you have to travel.”

About Dr. Michael Fleischman
Dr. Fleischman is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience in robotic and rapid recovery joint replacement, revision joint replacement, minimally invasive and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, and non-operative treatment options such as PRP and painless joint injections.
Although Dr. Fleischman's surgical practice involves the most cutting-edge and scientifically proven technology, the individual attention he gives each patient is often described as an �old school doctor's� mentality. He is committed to educating you about your orthopedic medical problems, and you will feel well cared for through his team approach.
Dr. Fleischman completed his medical degree at Touro University, Henderson, earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Michigan State University and his fellowship in hip and knee adult reconstruction at Indiana University. His fellowship training has been tailored to provide comprehensive care for hip and knee arthritis pain, including minimally invasive hip replacements and partial knee replacements.
Practicing orthopedic surgery since 2009, Dr. Fleischman was among the first to utilize Mako robotic technology to deliver the most precise patient-specific joint replacements. He also specializes in the latest operative techniques and pain control protocols. His sub-specialty training has made him an expert in diagnosing and revising failed or painful previous total hip and knee joint replacements.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), a fellow of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

It was so refreshing to be seen by a doctor, who actually sat in front of you, eye to eye to explain things and was not looking and typing on a computer for most of the visit.. No questions were left unanswered and I never felt rushed.
Dr. Fleischman actually went out of his way to get me a neurosurgical referral in a timely fashion, so that I could make an informed decision on an upcoming surgery. It was so unexpected and appreciated.

I went for a second opinion on my knee condition. The doctor was very knowledgeable and helpful with assessing my condition on short notice. I found him to be positive and encouraging while also being very straightforward on providing answers. He truly listened to my situation.
