Getting to know Dr. Michael Golinkoff
I am a doctoral level clinical psychologist licensed in PA and NJ. I received my degree in Clinical and Developmental Psychology from the University of Illinois - Chicago. I completed a pre-doctoral and postdoctoral fellowship at the Cornell Medical Center. I have over 30 years of experience treating adolescents, adults and older adults in individual and couples therapy.
We all have patterns in our behaviors and relationships that lead to predictable outcomes. My approach focuses on identifying those patterns, learning why they exist and understanding their impact on our lives - both good and bad. I help people use that insight to gain more control of their lives and make healthy changes. I try to create a warm, supportive and safe environment that promotes curiosity and courage in my clients. It is important for me to understand what my client feels would be a better life for them and what is most important for them to achieve and improve in their life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

It was only one session which was focused on a particular issue, however he greatly impressed me with his engagement and insight. I look forward to subsequent sessions and evolving into steady therapy.

Michael is exceptionally bright and approachable. He really pushes you to attain your most important goals.
