About Dr. Michael Happes

A native of Long Island, Dr. Happes is a graduate of Cornell University and the SUNY Downstate college of Medicine. He remained at SUNY Downstate for his residency training in Internal Medicine. Dr. Happes then completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease in the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, including a subspecialty fellowship in interventional cardiology.
Dr. Happes is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and is board eligible in Interventional Cardiology. He is certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). Dr Happes performs the full array of invasive cardiac and peripheral arterial diagnostic procedures, as well as coronary, valvular and peripheral vascular interventions.
Dr. Happes has clinical privileges at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, and St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn. He has outpatient hours in our Smithtown and Bay Shore offices.
