About Dr. Michael Nagelberg
Doctor Michael Nagelberg is a podiatrist and foot surgeon. He has extensive training in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery for patients of all ages. While he specializes in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery, Dr. Nagelberg is skilled in forefoot, bunion and hammer toe surgery as well. He graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He has completed a rigorous 3 year podiatric surgical and medical residency at the prestigious New York Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn where he served as the Chief Resident during his last year of training. He was named best resident in Podiatry for 2011-2012 and he has been recognized for outstanding competence in healthcare by being inducted into New York Methodist Hospital Healers hall of Fame.
Dr. Nagelberg received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2005 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. It was here that he met his wife, Amanda Levin, who is an elementary school teacher in Brooklyn. He enjoys sports, painting, martial arts and spending time with his family. Dr. Nagelberg is also fluent in medical Spanish.

When I called the office to re schedule my appointment, I was told they had no record of my scheduling. When I arrived, I filled out the appropriate paper work. I waited for about an hour and 15 minutes before the doctor saw me. Before he even examined me, he stated that I might need surgery. I think this is highly unprofessional. It is not right to scare a patient like that! Shouldn't he have at least examined me first, THEN discussed possibilities?

Dr. Nagelberg has the technical part of medicine well covered, and his bedside manner is the best I've seen. I'm 56 years old, so have seen a few doctors in my time. He is medically conservative, wanting to try therapies other than surgery. So far that has worked well. He is highly recommended.

There was no receptionist to receive me and I had to wait almost an hour to be seen. I think the receptionist was out or something. The doctor was nice and he addressed my concerns. I would give it a try but if I have to wait over 30 minutes for my appointment again, I will probably try to switch to another doctor.

Unfortunately, ZocDoc screwed the pooch on this appointment--confirming my appointment and sending me reminders. But they never actually communicated with this dr. office. So i was surprised when i arrived at my appt on time to find out i wasn't 'on the list.'
However the staff was really accommodating. And i was able to see the dr. only 10 mins after my supposed scheduled appt time. Dr. Nagelberg is pleasant and personable. And the ladies at the front desk attentive.
I would like to stick with this podiatrist.

He was great, had a great attitude. Gave me some stretches to do, did not want to send me for unnecessary tests, or even to buy stretchy bands or balls. A towel and a bottle of water seemed to be enough, which is great. The only downside- for some reason the office called me to come in a half hour earlier but then I still waited until past the original time, that was pretty annoying.

He is very nice, professional, quick, and helpful. I was just there yesterday and my foot already feels better and I can walk without feeling extreme pain. Sometimes going to the doctor feels like a waste of time but this trip was well worth it!

Dr. Nagelberg is incredibly thorough and accommodating, and really aims to build an honest rapport with his patients. I've been here twice and have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to see him!

I've been in many doctor offices, I found the staff very helpful and made me feel so comfortable. When I got to see Dr. Nagelberg, I was so happy. He was soft spoken, supportive and calm. He explained everything he was doing and why. His knowledge and bedside manner was beyond reproach.

Dr. Nagelberg listened to my complaints, took an extensive history of it. We discussed all possibilities of diagnosis and treatment. All in all, I am highly satisfied with his professional approach and extensive knowledge of the many avenues of treatment for my condition.

From the first visit to my discharge visit Dr. Nagelberg was straight w/ me. Being a previous patient in foot surgery I knew what to expect. When it came time to my surgery he told me step by step what was going to happen. Working in the medical field I have heard plenty of complaints of doctors trying to overcharge. Not doctor Nagelberg if you dont need a procedure I will defenately advise you of your options.
