About Dr. Michael O'Connor
I always knew I wanted to be in healthcare for as long as I could remember. When I was young, doctors appointments were always so fascinating to me. Seeing the stethoscopes, machines, and "fancy scales" that the doctors used always had me in a trance. It wasn't until college that I realized I could actually pursue my dreams. I began with declaring a degree of Anesthesiology at Eastern Illinois University, because of my love for healthcare and general sciences. However, I quickly found out exactly how much schooling and difficult coursework that would entail. I found my love for kinesiology and anatomy shortly after. Within research and coursework I found just how much there is to teach people about how their body works and that modern medicine is just a "band-aid" to most problems. It wasn't until my senior year where I discovered the holy grail that is chiropractic medicine; The combination of kinesiology and healthcare.
In 2020, amidst COVID-19, I began my journey at Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri. This is where I was able to develop my skills of healing people with my hands and teaching them about their body at the same time. After all the work on paper was done, my penultimate accomplishment was my preceptorship at a private office where I finally was able to put everything into practice!
My fiancé and I met in high school in Plainfield, IL and plan to get married here locally in October later this year! Once I finally graduated in December of 2023, we knew it was time for us to finally come back home. When we're not at work, we are either wedding planning or spending time with our two black labs, Jack and Oliver.

Great service! I’ve been going for a little over a month now for my upper and lower back and feel great. They are very thorough, attentive, and knowledgeable. BrightLife has literally allowed me to sleep normally again and I’m so grateful for that. This place is the best! You will regret not going here!!

Dr. Mike and the ENTIRE team are awesome! They really listen and they care about helping you feel better…whether you’re in pain or just in maintenance mode (to avoid pain). They’re great with insurance as well, which in my experience is hard to find at most chiropractors. Can’t say enough positive things about this place!

Simply put, Dr. Mike is terrific! He takes great care in everything he does. My weekly regimen includes several chiropractic adjustments and lower body stretching. He always takes it slow and is sure to give me extra care. I would recommend anybody that experiences aches and pains. You can’t go wrong with him. He is great.

Dr. Mike takes the time to truly listen to the concerns I had! He made sure that I was comfortable before each adjustment. I would highly recommend Dr. Mike especially if you’re hesitant to chiropractic. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment!

Dr. O'Connor is extreamly helpful, kind, and caring to all of his patients. He takes the time to listen and hear what his patients are going through. He then takes the time to make a well thought out care plan for them. I reccommed Dr. O'Connor to anyone looking for a great Chiropractor.
