Mental illness can be debilitating and negatively impact the lives of individuals. I believe treatment and healing can occur if individuals are given the proper care and support. My goal is that every individual receives care in a collaborative and supportive context, which will empower them and produce positive treatment outcomes. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chatham University, a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Drexel University, and a Bachelor’s degree from La Salle University, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

Dr. Michael Olukotun DNP, PMHNP is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in mental health. My professional background spans across multiple psychiatric settings. I take into account neurobiological, medical and social factors that may contribute to mental illness when assessing patients and planning treatments.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I am a healthcare provider who uses a holistic centered approach to assess, diagnose and provide care to my patients. Everyone will be treated with care, respect and listened to attentively. I work to meet every patient's immediate needs and provide support in their journey to wellness.

Had a great first appointment. Dr. Michael was to the point, but not in a way that makes you feel rushed. He was easy to talk to and by the end of our session, we had a good game plan, in which I'll be following up in 2 weeks. I feel very confident with this provider. As a previous Psych RN, he is way more personable than the providers I was used to dealing with. I would definitely recommend.
