What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, we’ll discuss your current concerns, mental health history, and goals for treatment. This is a time to explore your strengths, ask questions, and co-create a personalized treatment plan that reflects your needs and aspirations. My warm, empathetic communication style ensures you feel valued and understood, making our sessions a space where healing and growth can flourish.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients can expect a calm, supportive, and collaborative first session focused on understanding their concerns and creating a practical treatment plan. During the first visit, I take time to learn about the client’s current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, medications, sleep, mood, anxiety, attention, stressors, and treatment goals. We also review safety concerns, past treatments, and any relevant labs or records when available. Clients can expect a judgment-free space where they are heard and involved in decision-making. I use evidence-based medication management along with supportive and solution-focused therapy techniques. When appropriate, we may also use screening tools such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASRS, or other measures to better understand symptoms and track progress over time. By the end of the first session, the goal is for the client to have a clear understanding of the diagnosis or working impression, treatment options, medication recommendations if needed, safety planning, and next steps for follow-up care.
