Dr. Michael Strupp-Levitsky, PhD

Dr. Michael Strupp-Levitsky, PhD

Psychologist
26 Court St, Brooklyn, NY
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist based in Brooklyn, NY, working with adolescents, adults, and couples. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, Brooklyn, completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Barnard College, and earned my bachelor's degree from New York University. While therapy looks different for every person I work with, I believe it must always begin with a relationship that is honest and nonjudgmental, affirming, and that cares for the tender parts of us while also attending to the need for growth and evolution. As a queer Jew, my practice is rooted in an anti-oppressive, liberatory framework. I work from a developmental and sociopolitical lens and collaborate well with folx who have experienced marginalization, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. My first focus is always on building a trusting and open relationship. Together, we identify the patterns that keep you stuck and explore how they developed to alleviate your current suffering. Through this relationship, I support clients in empowering themselves to move through life more freely, consciously, and in deeper connection with others. I offer free consultations to see if we might be a good fit to work together. Please feel free to reach out.
