About Dr. Michael Subik

Dr. Michael Subik founded Ridge Foot and Ankle Associates in 2012, becoming sole owner and growing the practice. He is committed to thoroughly assessing each patient’s condition and using the extensive knowledge of the Ridge Foot and Ankle Associates team to develop customized treatment plans, typically involving conservative care and occasionally surgical intervention. Dr. Subik earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his Residency in Podiatric Surgery at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center. He is extensively trained in lower limb salvage, primary and revision reconstruction, ankle and foot trauma, and total ankle joint replacement. He performed one of the first total ankle replacements in northern New Jersey in 2009, the first at Meadowlands Hospital, and was a visiting proctor for the first in New Hampshire. Over his 22-year career, he has trained many podiatrists and orthopedists nationwide on Ilizarov External Ring Fixation and ankle joint replacement. Dr. Subik states, “We are the only podiatric practice in New Jersey that employs only fellowship-trained doctors to provide the most up-to-date and efficient care you deserve.” Trained by world leaders in foot and ankle reconstruction, Dr. Subik brings that expertise to Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson counties. He has served as Director of the Podiatric Medical and Surgical Residency at St. Mary’s General Hospital since 2015. Since then, the program has doubled in size and gained national recognition. Dr. Subik also founded New Jersey’s first foot and ankle fellowship in 2014—the North Jersey Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship. Graduates of his residency and fellowship programs now practice nationwide.
