“Phenomenal experience with this provider. My appointment started exactly on time and he was very thorough in his exam. He actually listened to what I was saying and asked to clarify to ensure he had everything correct. I also like that he did not jump right into medication as that has happened to me in the past and the experiences were not great. He had good suggestions and a good treatment plan. I appreciated the time he took with me. ”

Getting to know Michael Wagner
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified in Public Health. I have been in the nursing field since 2008 and am presently pursuing my Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I earned my Master's in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from the University of North Dakota, and hold bachelor's degrees from Augsburg University and the University of Wisconsin.
My nursing career includes extensive experience in ambulatory care, behavioral and mental health, public health, health education, emergency response, and nurse administration. I have provided psychiatric clinical care and led Mental Health nursing departments treating a wide spectrum of patients-veterans, adolescents, the elderly, the underserved and vulnerable, and those at high risk-in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
I'm a firm believer that everyone should have full access to high-quality mental health services from the comfort of their own home. Lastly, I strive to build strong therapeutic alliances and deeply value the therapeutic relationship.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During the first session a full initial assessment and evaluation will be completed. If there is any diagnosis it will be discussed with you as well as treatment options.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
