About Dr. Michael Weiss
Dr. Michael Weiss is the Director of the Division of Otolaryngology in the Department of Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Weiss completed his residency at New York University Medical Center. Prior to joining the Maimonides team, Dr. Weiss was the Residency Coordinator and Co-Chief, Head and Neck Service, at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He was an Attending Physician at Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn V.A., Long Island College Hospital, New York Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, Jamaica Hospital, and Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Presently, he is Attending Physician at Kings County Hospital Center and Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Michael Weiss has authored numerous publications, given a variety of presentations, and was the Principal Investigator in a research grant awarded by the American Cancer Society. He was a faculty member of the State University of New York, the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, and the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Weiss has served on several committees and currently is on the Surgical Advisory Committee at Maimonides. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, the New York State Medical Society, the Kings County Medical Society, the American Laryngological, the Rhinological, and Otological Society, the American College of Surgeons, the Society of University Otolaryngologists, New York State Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery, and the New York Head and Neck Society.

I strongly encourage anyone reading this to immediately find another doctor. Dr. Weiss left an awful impression. He used the bathroom outside the exam room and clearly didn't wash his hands as I heard the toilet flush and him walk out immediately after. Absolutely disgusting from a health care provider who has to place their hands on you. He was 30 minutes late to my appointment. He did not care to listen to all my concerns and rushed me the whole way. He was rough on my ears, after I expressed pain and sensitivity and didn't even bother to warn or check on how I was doing. His disregard for my general wellbeing or my concerns was among the worst I have ever experienced. Dr. Weiss seems to be going through the motions. I will need to go see another doctor to make sure my concerns are properly addressed.

I was very pleased with my visit to Dr. Weiss' office. The staff, from the front desk to Anita, who took my information, were all very kind and helpful. I actually did not see Dr. Weiss until the end of my visit, as it was his physician's assistant, Alina who treated me. She was excellent, explaining every single thing she did, step by step, which I appreciated. At the end of my treatment Dr. Weiss did come in, asked how I felt and answered any remaining questions I had. Overall, I was very pleased, it was a good visit, and, yes, I would definitely recommend Dr. Weiss.

I went to Dr. Weiss for a long standing chronic condition - which no prevoius Dr. had really explained so that I could understand. Dr. Weiss - in just a few minutes - cleaely explained both my condition and the treatment plan.

I was really impressed with the whole experience of seeing Dr Weiss. My first impression was that he is an extremely friendly Dr. who listened to my concerns, thoroughly examined me, and clearly explained to me what was going on. He answered all of my questions, and It will definitely be worth making the trip to see him from Staten Island. I was also impressed that there was parking in the building that validates the ticket.. The office staff was extremely helpful as well. (I booked an appointment with Dr Weiss for my husband on the way out because I believe he will be satisfied)
