Ohhh my goodness, she is FABULOUS!!! I went in with a massive migraine and everyone took care of me. The medical assistants spoke quietly and turned the light down. When I felt sick they brought me a barf bag and cold pack in less than a minute. Michelle has such a calming presence about her and is such a kind person. She came into the room and spoke quietly to tell me she took the time to review my chart from my George Washington MFA neurologist. She took the time to actually read it so I did not have to tell her what is already there. I hate it when doctors do not do take time to do that!. If you are the type of person that needs to feel the "love" when you feel terrible take the time to wait to see her. I only had to wait 3 hours from time I booked to seeing her. No waiting once I checked-in with reception. Mind you, I was in Sibley ER last night for same thing and awesome as they are, did not feel the love. Michelle used to be a mid-wife for those that might need someone until their OB is open over the weekend. I almost thought I should give her a bad review so I could always get a quick appointment with her. But, that is just not nice. She is my new go-to person for anything I need when I can not see my PCP. Also, this facility is a part of George Washington Medical Faculty Associates. Thanks Michelle! Kimber S.
Michelle Cochran, NP was great, very informative and patient. But the wait was long, I schedule an appointment so that I could be seen and other in a decent time. I wanted close to 40 mins but once I went back the appointme t was about 15 more minutes and I was on my way.
Professional thorough and competent--pleased with the experience
NP Cochran did a very through job of explaining my issue. I felt she listened well and considered everything I told her while also being very efficient. The nurse was also very kind and did an excellent job as well.
She was very pleasant, intuitive and I felt like she really cared about my well being.
The wait time was just under 2 hours which for an appointment that took 10 minutes tops. She wasn’t terrible just not the most inviting practitioner but I don’t really feel like time was given to talk through all my concerns. I came in for a physical was supposed to then have blood work done a few days later. When I got to the office this morning I was told that the no orders were put in for me. What is interesting is that when I left my first appointment I stopped at the front desk to schedule the blood work i watched her tell the front office that she was going to put the panel in, I’m unclear as to what happened there. So I fasted as she requested for nothing and wasting a good part of my morning to get to an appointment early only to be told I’d be contacted tomorrow.
She was very professional and warm. She offered great advice and was very quick and efficient in calling in my prescription,
Michelle is great, but the way the clinic is run in reference to handling calls is not customer friendly and seems potentially detrimental. I had a problem with a prescription - and needed her to call in another one. There is only one telephone number, and I think that the phone is answered by the receptionist and one of the nurse assistants. Of course it is very busy now, with so many getting the flu, but they should have a protocol for handling calls. I have left messages and never have been called back. This time, I swear that I was on hold for over an hour. At this point my phone dropped the call so can't say if I ever would have gotten someone on the line. The CVS pharmacist also said she couldn't get through. Really? This has happened to me before, it is a real flaw at that place.
Nurse Cochran listen attentively to my complaints. She took the necessary time to diagnose and prescribe medication. She is a strong asset to the Porter St. practice.
Love her, Wish she was my internist!
I know they are busy, but the nurse stated two untrue things about my medical history and I had to correct her. I was surprised as I have never experienced such carelessness.
Nurse Cochran, and the staff at the Center, were all really great. They listened to my concerns, and diagnosed me right away, so I could get treatment to get me better! So grateful!
