She reassured me that surgery was a distant possibility to contemplate only after trying other interventions. A podiatrist I had consulted earlier wanted to move immediately to surgery. So glad I consulted Dr. Coleman for her assessment. I will definitely make a follow-up appointment with her as needed.”

Dr. Coleman is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and foot and ankle specialist. After graduating from Vanderbilt School of Medicine, she completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine and her foot and ankle fellowship at Medstar Union Memorial in Baltimore. Dr. Coleman has broad interest in foot and ankle pathologies including sports injuries, arthritis, fractures, and foot and ankle deformities. Dr. Coleman is a passionate educator, serving as Associate Program Director for the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. Dr. Coleman also participates in research to help understand the best ways to diagnose and treat various foot and ankle problems. She is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), serving on the research committee and serving as the 2024 Pre-Program Co-chair for the AOFAS Annual Meeting. In addition, Dr. Coleman serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals including JBJS, JAAOS, FAI, and FAO.

Dr. Michelle Coleman recorded the exam on her personal cell phone. Dr. Coleman asked questions that were not a yes/ no answer. When I answered in one sentence she condescendingly said " just say yes or no " even though it was not a yes/ no answer or question. Dr. Coleman dismissed my concerns and questions and instead talked over me to give her generic spiel. Dr. Coleman had obviously not looked at my chart before coming into the room because she had no idea of my condition and she never opened up my chart on the computer after she entered the room. Dr. Coleman was rushed, impolite, unprepared, and talked over me. I have seen many doctors in my life time and none have even come close to having such an atrocious bedside manner. Maybe the poor treatment might have been worth it if my condition had of improved with treatment, but unfortunately it has only gotten worse since seeing Dr. Michelle Coleman.

My issue was minor but the doctor was interested in my issue and offered options to try to aid me. In reality there was no permanent fix and the issue may get worse with aging. However I will deal with that when it occurs.

She consults very well, everything is very clear, very objective. The only thing I can comment on is that everything feels very accelerated. There is no time to elaborate much on the problem.
