Getting to know Michelle Egbert

I am dual-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in the State of Colorado (License #APN.0996218-NP). I specialize in hormone replacement therapy, psychiatry, and primary care, and am passionate about helping patients feel their best through evidence-based, whole-person care. I have extensive experience in psychiatric medication management, primary care services, and coordinating comprehensive treatment plans. I value building strong relationships and supporting both the physical and emotional wellbeing of my patients. While I have chosen to specialize in the above areas, my dual certification means that I am qualified to provide both psychiatric and primary care services. I have over 10 years of experience in nursing and healthcare. During this time, I have worked in a variety of settings including psychiatric practices, primary care clinics, urgent care, gastroenterology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and dermatology. I have extensive experience providing quality psychiatric care, maintaining direct lines of communication with patients and healthcare teams, leading clinical teams, training new graduate MHNs and students, and conducting comprehensive patient evaluations. I earned my nursing degree from Brigham Young University in 2002, my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2020, and a Post-Graduate Certification in Psychiatry from Liberty University in 2022. I maintain current certifications with the American Nurses Credentialing Center for both Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialties. My comprehensive training and diverse clinical experience make me well-equipped to provide integrated care that addresses both mental health and physical health needs in a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

Michelle is incredibly knowledgeable and it shows in every appointment. She takes time to explain things clearly and her expertise gives me real confidence in my care. Most of all, she makes me feel genuinely cared for as a client, not just another appointment. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a psych NP who truly listens.
I saw Michelle because my previous provider didn’t seem to know much about Hormone Replacement Therapy. I am a 54 year old woman and was dealing with hot flashes. Michelle is extremely knowledgeable and was so willing to share reliable research and information about my situation—a situation that is so normal for women of my age and one that can be hard for us to find practitioners skilled in helping us. I am so grateful to have found Michelle to treat me. She is understanding, empathetic and great listener.
Michelle is friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, thorough, and an excellent listener. She thinks outside the box and provides excellent care for myself and several of my children. I value and trust her opinion and expertise. I continually recommend her to anyone needing any guidance in the mental health realm. In a medical environment where it can be difficult to find the right fit and care in a provider, Michelle is a light.
I really appreciate her time and patience as I navigate this next chapter of my life dealing with hormone changes. She has been very encouraging in helping me figure out what my needs.
