Michelle Ladringan, NP

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
821 E 2nd St, suite 104, Benicia, CA
I am a doctorate-prepared, licensed, and nationally dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over 24 years of experience in the medical field. I earned a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Purdue University, which has further enhanced my expertise in this specialty. Observing shifts and patterns in patient care and services, I believe it is critical to offer a modern, integrated whole-person care strategy for managing mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, sleep disturbances, low self-esteem, poor motivation, hyperactivity, teen oppositional and conduct behaviors, trauma-related symptoms, psychosis, substance use, and maintaining physical and mental well-being. I firmly believe that health is a multifaceted concept encompassing physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual domains. I apply the biopsychosocial paradigm in my work, recognizing that not every patient responds to every treatment plan. I customize each patient's treatment plan to effectively address their unique needs and goals. Along with emphasizing wellness, I believe treatment plans should incorporate nutrition, exercise, physical therapy, mindfulness, complementary health services, psychotherapy, and group support. In a calm and welcoming outpatient environment, I provide medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and diagnostic evaluations using a person-centered, integrative, team-based approach for children, adolescents, and adults.
