I received my education in family practice from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, and then went on to specialize in psychiatry at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. I am board certified through ANCC. I have extensive experience treating ADHD, severe social anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, and opiate addictions. My approach to therapy is to meet with you initially for 45 minutes to an hour. During this time, I will ask you what initiated your desire to seek therapy. We will discuss your past medical and psychiatric treatments. We will discuss what you wish to gain from therapy and I will devise a treatment plan that you are comfortable with and feel is attainable. I understand that everyone is unique and I will treat you as an individual and not a diagnosis. You can expect to leave the session understanding what the treatment plan is and what is expected from both of us as treatment is a partnership between the provider and the client. You should expect to be hopeful and know that your progress is my ultimate goal for you.
