About Michelle Powers

Michelle earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana. She holds a Master's in Nurse-Midwifery from Vanderbilt University.
Michelle has always had a passion for women's health. Attending an all-women's college, she quickly realized her belief that healthy women help the world. This inspired her to explore options for becoming a women's health provider. During her senior year of college, she became a doula and then matriculated into her MSN program in Nashville. She continues to believe that keeping women healthy and empowering them to be their best selves is the best way to keep the world moving forward.
Michelle believes in safe, woman-centered care and strives to help all the women she cares for have an optimal childbirth experience of their choice. She has a particular interest in supporting women through the postpartum period, encouraging patients and their families to utilize resources and support to improve overall health outcomes.
Michelle recently welcomed her first child, her son Nathaniel, on December 14, 2018. She and her husband, Danny, enjoy watching him grow and learn. They now spend less time at brunch and more time singing silly songs, hoping their son will make the cutest belly laugh. Their dog, Zach, is not impressed yet.
