About Dr. Michelle Sugi

Michelle Sugi, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in general pediatric orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Serving patients with Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists, the practice offers convenient locations in East Los Angeles, Wilshire, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera, Tarzana, Encino, Valencia, and Montebello, California. Dr. Sugi combines her love of healing, her passion for children’s health and development, and her intellectual drive to improve patient outcomes. She is dedicated to supporting children’s health from birth to young adulthood with bone, joint, and muscle problems. A Southern California native, Dr. Sugi earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from the esteemed Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She then entered medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. For her residency, Dr. Sugi moved to the University of Southern California LAC+USC Medical Center. She also completed dual fellowships at UCLA Medical Center and Stanford University. Dr. Sugi is committed to pioneering innovative approaches to complex pediatric and sports orthopedic conditions, including fractures, injuries, spine disorders, neuromuscular weakness, and hip, hand, and joint abnormalities. Dr. Sugi enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming, skiing, and all outdoor activities. Dr. Sugi is available for patient care at the Los Angeles and Tarzana locations.
