About Dr. Mihir Sheth
Mihir Sheth, MD, is a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon. He specializes in the surgical and non-surgical care for all shoulder and elbow conditions, including advanced arthritis, rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocations, elbow injuries in athletes and fractures involving the arm. In addition, he cares for conditions that involve the scapula (“shoulder blade”), sternoclavicular joint and fractures around the body. He performs both arthroscopic (minimally-invasive) and open (reconstructive) surgery.
He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees through the 6-year accelerated BS/MD program at the Pennsylvania State University and Thomas Jefferson University, where he graduated with Highest Distinction and Magna Cum Laude, respectively. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he served as administrative chief resident in his final year and received multiple awards for his performance. He was then awarded a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Sheth is committed to evidence-based medicine and has an extensive bibliography of original studies and abstracts, which have been presented both nationally and internationally. He serves as a reviewer for multiple journals, including Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS), the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (JSES) and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research (CORR).
