Getting to know Mikael Khachatryan
Mikael is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and will serve as your provider here at Vitalize Psychiatry. He has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, and more.
Mikael began his undergraduate career at the University of Southern California, where he obtained his B.A. in Human Biology and completed his graduate studies at Herzing University, earning a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. He draws from experience working in hospitals, inpatient detox, and residential treatment settings for addiction and mental health disorders to create a safe, collaborative space for growth and healing.
He embraces a holistic and nonjudgmental approach to psychiatric care. He focuses on patient-centered and evidence-based modalities when tailoring individualized treatment plans to assist his patients in meeting their mental health goals. During sessions, patients can expect active listening, respect, empathy, and collaboration.
What should a new client know about working with you?
After your comprehensive evaluation we will continue to follow-up on a regular basis to monitor your progress and make any adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Our providers collaborate with patients to assess, monitor, and adjust medication regimens, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes while minimizing potential side effects. Your mental health and well-being are our priority, and our comprehensive approach incorporates supportive psychotherapy and is designed to support your journey to a balanced and fulfilling life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Your first visit will consist of a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation in which I will learn more about you as an individual as well as your reasons for seeking treatment. Psychiatric evaluations are a critical first step in understanding your unique mental health needs. These comprehensive assessments allow our dedicated professionals to gain a deep understanding of your emotional, cognitive, and behavioral experiences. Through a blend of empathetic dialogue and evidence-based tools, we tailor our evaluations to ensure an accurate diagnosis and the development of an effective, personalized treatment plan. Your mental well-being is our utmost priority, and we're here to guide you with insight, care, and expertise
