Millesia Wade, APRN, RN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
MD
My name is Millesia Wade, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) because I believe deeply in the power of connection—how feeling seen, heard, and supported can transform a person’s mental health journey. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and the belief that healing is possible for everyone. My Background & How I Got Started My path into mental health care began long before I earned my clinical credentials. I’ve always been drawn to supporting people through difficult moments, helping them make sense of their experiences, and advocating for their well‑being. Over time, I saw how many individuals—especially women, parents, trauma survivors, and people navigating complex life transitions—struggled to find care that felt safe, validating, and truly collaborative. This inspired me to pursue advanced training in psychiatric nursing and ultimately open Bridge Connection LLC, a practice built on empathy, empowerment, and evidence‑based care. Education & Professional Training I am a board‑certified PMHNP, trained to diagnose, treat, and support individuals across the lifespan. My approach blends clinical expertise with a warm, human connection—because both are essential for meaningful healing. Who I Serve & My Specializations I work with adults seeking support for a wide range of emotional and mental health needs, with particular focus on: Anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, trauma‑related conditions stress, burnout, and life transitions, ADHD and attention‑related concerns, medication management with education, transparency, and shared decision‑making. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences without judgment and where treatment is tailored to their unique needs, identity, and goals. With me as your provider, you are not just receiving psychiatric care—you are entering a supportive partnership designed to help you thrive.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My Style & Therapy Approach My approach to care is shaped by years of sitting with people during some of the hardest moments of their lives—moments of fear, uncertainty, transition, and deep vulnerability. Over time, I learned that what people need most isn’t a quick fix or a rushed diagnosis. They need someone who will slow down with them, listen without judgment, and help them make sense of what they’re carrying. That belief guides every session I have. I show up as a real person in the room with you—warm, steady, and genuinely invested in your well‑being. I practice from a trauma‑informed and culturally responsive lens, which means I pay attention not only to your symptoms, but to your story, your identity, and the experiences that shaped you. I move at your pace, not mine. You never have to share more than you’re ready for. My sessions blend medication management with supportive talk therapy, because I’ve seen how powerful it is when both are used together. Some days we may focus on stabilizing symptoms or adjusting medication; other days we may spend more time exploring stress, relationships, patterns, or the emotional weight you’ve been carrying. I follow your lead and meet you where you are. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up because I’m calm, easy to talk to, and explain things in a way that makes sense. I believe in collaboration—not telling you what to do, but helping you understand your options so we can make decisions together. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little more grounded, a little more hopeful, and a little more connected to yourself. At the heart of my work is a simple commitment: to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as you move toward healing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

What Sessions With Me Are Like I aim to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported from the moment we begin. My sessions are conversational, collaborative, and paced in a way that respects your comfort and readiness. Your first appointment is a 60–75 minute diagnostic evaluation. We’ll talk about what brought you in, your symptoms, medical and mental health history, and any past treatments. This helps me understand what you’re experiencing so we can build a treatment plan together. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. Follow‑up sessions are typically 20–30 minutes and focus on how you’ve been feeling, what’s improving, and what still feels challenging. We may adjust medications if needed, explore stressors, and discuss coping strategies. Many clients appreciate that these visits blend medication management with supportive talk therapy. My approach is trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and client‑centered. You guide the pace, and we make decisions together. Whether we’re discussing symptoms, life stressors, or long‑term goals, my role is to help you feel grounded, informed, and empowered in your healing process.
