About Dr. Mindy Simpson
Mindy Simpson, DNP, FNP-C, began her career in the aesthetic field over 20 years ago as a makeup artist. With a love for medicine and science, she was drawn to nursing and started working in Critical Care on a cardiac unit before ultimately deciding to combine her interest in beauty with nursing and transition into the medical aesthetics industry.
?I feel that my background in makeup helps me assess the face in a way that others might not,? says Mindy. ?I look to contour and highlight, placing filler so that natural light will enhance the patient's already beautiful features.?
Mindy earned her Bachelor's degree from Westminster College and went on to complete her Doctorate in Family Nursing at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. ?I continued on with NP school because I wanted to be able to learn more, have the ability to do more, and because I am a nerd and can't stop learning!? she says.
Today, Mindy specializes in injectables and medical services at SkinSpirit, always taking a holistic approach to treatment. She isn't afraid to refer her patients to facial services with her aesthetician colleagues, where they can receive additional care to help achieve their goals.
When she's not at the clinic, Mindy loves to explore with her husband, 11-year-old son, and dog. Traveling and discovering cool parts of the country in her trailer is a favorite pastime. ?I am also ?one of those' Peloton owners who is obsessed,? she says, ?so if I'm not on that bike, I try to be on a mountain bike in our UT hills.?
