Are you tired of all of the strict, restrictive, overwhelming and unhelpful nutrition information all around you? I was too, even as I was going through my undergraduate and masters programs for dietetics I struggled with a lot of the information I was learning. We shouldn't all be expected to fit into these ""perfect"" medical boxes because we are all different and wonderful in so many ways. I started my career as a care counselor in a residential eating disorder facility and this is where I fell in love with nutrition. Surrounded by humans who were learning how to trust their bodies and going through so many hard things but knowing there were better things ahead inspired me. Nutrition should not be shameful and you should not have to think about food as much as the world we live in tries to tell you we should. This is why I decided very early on I wanted to have a more inclusive approach to nutrition. My values align with intuitive eating and Health At Every Size (HAES) - I like working from an ""all-foods-fit"" approach to nutrition. Food should be enjoyed and as your dietitian my goal is to help you spend more time thinking about enjoying food and feeling good in your body than telling you what you shouldn't have. Because, lets get real - we all know that doesn't work anyway! For those of you who are just trying to feel neutral about food and our bodies- I am here for that, too. Everyone is starting at a different place and has different goals. My job is to help you get where you want to be, this is not about me- its all about you!
