I'm a triple board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with more than 30 years of experience in direct patient care. I provide full-scope outpatient psychiatric care for children, teens, and adults ages 6 to 65, with telehealth appointments to fit your life. My approach is humanistic, warm, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and I work alongside you to understand your goals and build a plan that feels right for you. I offer thoughtful psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief, solution-focused, trauma-informed care, along with crisis support when it's needed. When helpful, I draw on Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful, lasting change. My style is direct, clear, and judgment-free, and I make space for the whole person, not just a diagnosis. I have deep experience caring for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, and I especially enjoy working with growth-oriented and twice-exceptional individuals. I also specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting parents through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transitions of early family life. Whether you're managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to help you find clarity and steady footing. My background as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse-Midwife gives me a whole-person perspective that blends conventional and holistic care. I take time to educate patients and families, and I'm glad to help you navigate new diagnoses, school accommodations such as IEPs and 504 plans, and support in the workplace. I also welcome collaboration with therapists, primary care providers, and the other people invested in your care. Whatever brings you here, my hope is that you feel heard, respected, and supported from our very first conversation. I look forward to partnering with you on your path toward greater well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Please note that I do not accept EAP programs. Working with me starts with a real conversation. I take time to understand your story, your goals, and what matters most to you, because I believe you are the expert on your own experience. My style is warm, humanistic, and collaborative, with direct and clear communication so you always know what to expect and why we're making the choices we make together. I aim to create a calm, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being honest, and I move at a pace that feels right for you. I practice full-scope outpatient psychiatry for ages 6 to 65, offering telehealth visits to fit your schedule. Care with me typically blends medication management with brief, solution-focused, trauma-informed support, and I provide crisis support when it's needed. When it's helpful, I draw on Motivational Interviewing to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change. I approach treatment holistically, considering the whole person rather than a single diagnosis, and I welcome your questions and input at every step so that your treatment plan truly reflects your values and priorities. I have deep experience caring for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, and I especially enjoy working with growth-oriented and twice-exceptional individuals. I also bring specialized experience in perinatal mental health, supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, and the changes of early parenthood. Beyond the visit itself, I'm glad to provide education and support for new diagnoses, help with school accommodations such as IEPs and 504 plans, and collaborate with your therapist, primary care provider, and others involved in your care. Above all, my hope is that you leave each visit feeling heard, respected, and supported. I draw on more than 30 years of experience across psychiatry, family, and women's health to care for you. If you're looking for a partner who is affirming, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in your wellbeing, I'd be glad to wor

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Please note that I do not accept EAP programs. Our work together usually begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation. In that first visit, I'll take time to learn about your history, your current concerns, your goals, and the context of your life—including family, relationships, work or school, and anything that's shaped your experience. From there, we'll discuss what I'm seeing, talk through any diagnosis in plain language, and build a treatment plan together. I want you to understand the "why" behind every recommendation and to feel like an active partner in the process, never rushed and never talked over. My primary focus is medication management and psychopharmacology, so ongoing visits typically center on how you're responding to treatment, adjusting medications thoughtfully, and monitoring your progress and wellbeing. That said, I don't treat appointments as quick check-ins. I practice brief, solution-focused, trauma-informed care, which means our sessions make room for what's actually going on for you. When it's helpful, I weave in approaches like Motivational Interviewing to support real, lasting change. If your needs call for regular, in-depth talk therapy, I'll help coordinate that and collaborate closely with your therapist so your care stays connected. Between visits, I'll let you know how to reach me and what to do if something urgent comes up, so you never feel alone with a concern. Beyond the session itself, I offer case management, treatment planning, and education for you and your family. I'm glad to support new diagnoses, help with school accommodations such as IEPs and 504 plans, and work alongside your primary care provider and others involved in your care. Visits are available by telehealth, and we'll set a follow-up rhythm that fits your needs—frequent early on or spaced out as you stabilize. Throughout our work, my goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and steadily supported at every step.
