Mitzi Clayton, M.D., was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She attended Boston University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Clayton received her M.D. from Medical University of the Americas in 2003 and completed Family Practice Residency at the Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross in June 2008. Dr. Clayton is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Clayton now resides in Ellenwood with her family. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her daschunds.

I made an appointment at the end of the day and upon arrival,no one manned the front desk. I stood there 4-6 min wait as a couple staff walked passed. The staff was friendly and the office was clean. They addressed my concerns right away and made me feel very comfortable.

I booked this appointment for my grandmother via Zoc Doc. We did our paperwork prior to arriving, once getting their, the facility was clean and the staff was great. Dr, Clayton was a pleasure and I love that they weren’t pushy. They gave me the ultimatum for everything and never made me feel forced or like I only had one option.

I waited for over 2 hrs to see the doctor. Then she came in and while she is a very pleasant lady, I was a little perturbed that she processed me so quickly. She seemed to be moving a mile a minute! My head was spinning with how quickly she was talking that I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. Even when she was listening to my lungs, she was moving the Stethoscope so quickly I don’t know how she heard anything. Anyway, she appears to be a good doctor but I just didn’t appreciate how long I had to wait.

The visit was fine. The nurse was very personable and and thorough the Dr was nice. I thought physicals consisted of more though it was real quick. The problem was after the visit. I had a reaction to medication, called and was told to stop taking it and the Dr would call and follow up with me. A week passed and no call. I called and was told I was speaking to a nurse another message would go to the Dr for a call back to me. Another week and not call. I go I to the office for a follow up appointment and am told by the nurse that I spoke with their answering service and they did t get the messages. The Dr didnt apologize or seem overly concerned about the problem which was troubling. She is nice enough as well as the staff, but the service was concerning. I will be finding another Doctor.
