Mmasayo provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, stress, and other behavioral health needs. Her approach is patient-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. She considers each person’s symptoms, health history, life circumstances, strengths, values, and treatment goals when developing recommendations.
Mmasayo believes that patients should have an active role in their care. She takes time to explain diagnoses, treatment options, expected benefits, and possible side effects in clear, understandable terms. Her goal is to partner with patients in developing a practical, personalized plan that supports symptom relief, improved functioning, and long-term emotional wellness.

You do not need to have all the answers before your first visit; the process begins with understanding what you are experiencing and what you hope will improve.
Her style is collaborative, empathetic, and practical. She listens closely to your concerns and encourages questions throughout the visit. Treatment may include medication management, education about symptoms and diagnoses, coping strategies, goal-setting, and referrals for therapy or other supportive resources when appropriate.
Medication is one potential part of treatment, not the only approach. If medication is recommended, Mmasayo will discuss its purpose, possible benefits, potential side effects, and how your response will be monitored. Care plans are reviewed and adjusted over time to reflect your needs, preferences, and progress.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first appointment typically involves a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Mmasayo will discuss your current symptoms and concerns, mental health and medical history, previous treatment experiences, medications, sleep, stressors, substance use, relationships, and goals for care. The visit also includes a review of safety concerns and factors that may affect treatment recommendations.
Together, you will develop an individualized treatment plan based on your priorities. Depending on your needs, the plan may include medication management, education, symptom monitoring, coping strategies, and referrals for psychotherapy or additional services. If medication is started or adjusted, Mmasayo will review why it is being considered, what to expect, possible side effects, and the follow-up plan.
Follow-up visits focus on progress toward your goals, daily functioning, medication response and tolerability, and any new concerns. Treatment is adjusted collaboratively as needed to support meaningful and sustainable improvement.

RAIN by RMBI accepts most major insurance plans, including private/commercial insurance, North Carolina Medicaid Standard Plans, and select Tailored Care Plans. Coverage and network participation vary by plan. Please call our office before your appointment to confirm that your insurance is accepted and to verify your copay, deductible, coinsurance, referral, prior authorization, and other benefit requirements.
Self-pay is available for patients without insurance or for those who choose not to use insurance. Sliding-scale fees may be available for patients who meet financial-hardship eligibility requirements. Please contact the office to discuss self-pay rates and sliding-scale eligibility before scheduling.
We accept most major credit and debit cards. Copays, deductibles, coinsurance, self-pay fees, and other patient-responsible balances are due at the time of service.
Good Faith Estimate Notice (No Surprises Act): Uninsured and self-pay patients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of scheduled medical and mental health services. RAIN by RMBI will provide an estimate of anticipated charges, including available discounts, upon request or as required before your appointment. A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and may not include unforeseen or additional services that become necessary. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill. Please contact our office with questions or to request an estimate.
