Modesta Vesonder, PhD, CRNP, is a healthcare executive, Nurse Practitioner, and public health professional with over twenty years of experience in adult medicine. Born in Kenya, she completed her secondary education there before immigrating to the United States to pursue advanced training in healthcare. Dr. Vesonder earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Montgomery College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore, and a Master’s of Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She completed her PhD in Public Health with an emphasis in epidemiology from Walden University.
She has worked in the medical field in multiple hospitals across Baltimore and Washington, including Good Samaritan Hospital, with a long-standing focus on the
care of the adult population.
In 2018, Dr. Vesonder became the Chief Executive Officer of Katani Hospital, a 144-bed multispecialty hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. She has also participated in multiple charitable organizations across the globe.
In addition to her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Vesonder has extensive training and certification in the application of medical and therapeutic lasers. Her combined expertise in clinical care, public health, and healthcare leadership reflects a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing quality healthcare delivery.
