“Really great at what he does! I simply wanted to use him for medication management and it’s so scary it’s like he knew me already and picked up on a problem I had without even mentioning it. How did he know! He not only seems like a great psychiatrist, but is also a great psychologist. I thought price was a little steep at first, now he can take all my money if he wants haha!
If you value your health and don’t want a doctor to just throw the appropriate med at you based on basic knowledge like most do, this is your guy!”

He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in psychiatry at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Foroughi serves as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he teaches and supervises residents and medical students and conducts clinical research alongside his clinical responsibilities. He is also a graduate affiliate member of the Psychoanalytic Association of New York, having completed two years of psychodynamic psychotherapy training.

Dr. Foroughi provided excellent care. He took the time to listen and understand my concerns. I really appreciate that. He also asked thoughtful and relevant questions.
The doctor showed respect for my needs and communication style and didn’t talk over me. This makes a significant difference in my trust of a medical provider.
I appreciate that the doctor didn’t rush to give me a bunch of pills but instead took the time to really understand what was going on.

Dr. Foroughi is an excellent psychiatrist. I had seen 2 other psychiatrists before finding him and I’m so glad I did. Unlike the others, he is extremely attentive and spent an ample amount of time speaking to me and coming up with a plan. I felt very comfortable sharing my thoughts with him. His office is also conveniently located and did not have a long wait time. I would definitely Dr. Foroughi to anyone who is in search of a new psychiatrist.
