“The office rescheduled my appointment to 30 minutes later a few days before the appointment. Zocdoc sent me an email about this rescheduling but I didn't see it because I wasn't expecting any important emails since I had already done my online forms. The office never asked me if I was still available at this later time before rescheduling it (I wasn't available, but a miraculous coincidence the morning-of meant that I was still able to attend the appointment without missing my next meeting). If the office called to confirm the rescheduling they did not leave a voicemail and they never texted. I've never had a doctor's office reschedule an appointment without confirming a new time with me so this left a bad taste in my mouth. The doctor was ok, but he told me I needed to see someone in person and I was relieved that I wouldn't have to deal with this office again.”

Dr. Ahmed served as the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Baytown Methodist Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor at UTMB Galveston, TX. Dr. Ahmed also is certified in the first FDA-approved non-drug treatment for depression called TMS( Trans-cranial magnetic stimulation of the brain).
He completed his residency in General Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Texas medical branch in Galveston, TX.
Dual Board Certified in both Adult and Child Psychiatry.
He is a distinguished Laughlin Fellow and has received several prestigious awards including the Robert B. White and an International Medical Graduate Fellowship award.
Voted the best psychiatrist in Baytown by the Baytown Sun.
Winner of the 2012-2020 Houston magazine Top Doctors Voting Award and 2014 Top Teaching Doctors Award by UTMB with over 18 years of experience in psychiatry and clinical research.
