“Very happy with my visit to Dr. Ghafar’s office this morning. I was a little nervous going in to the appointment, as this was the first OBGYN in NYC I was visiting since moving to the city. There was absolutely no wait time, filling out the paperwork was super simple, and both the staff and Dr. Ghafar were lovely. He did not make me feel rushed through the appointment at all and let me ask all the questions I had. I was in and out in just about a half hour. Will recommend to others!”

About Dr. Mohamed Ghafar
Dr. Mohamed Ghafar is an accomplished OB-GYN specialist and urogynecologist looking after the people of NY. Dr. Ghafar attended the Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine, where he was honored with his medical degree. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Queens. Further, he completed a fellowship in urogynecology at the Louisiana State University.
Dr. Ghafar is board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is available for exams and consultations at his own practice: M. Ghafar. He welcomes patients who speak in English and spanish. Patients visit him for a wide spectrum of common and specialized medical needs, including menstrual problems, urinary tract infections, birth control, fibroids, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. He is eager to be able to serve women at all stages of life.

Omg this has got to be the best doctors office hands down! From being in and out so fast to everyone there being so professional and friendly. I did my pap exam and the MA/Nurse who was assisting the doctor was comforting me while I was in pain and made me feel so comfortable.

What can I say?. Let's start walking into a clean environment, bright and cheery. Great staff! very welcoming, sweet, kind, polite and very helpful. Always with a smile and not just with me but they seem to go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. As for Dr. Ghafar, I just love his calm demeanor which helps me to be calm and not tense. Asked tons of questions which were very satisfying knowing he is doing everything he can. Thank you

The visit was short but thorough. Dr. Ghafar was attentive to my concerns and genuinely seemed interested in finding out the reason(s) for my symptoms in order to conclude a proper diagnosis. He and his staff were very pleasant, courteous and professional. There were no special forms to fill out other than what was already provided on Zocdoc. I was pleasantly surprised that I was taken in immediately and that there was no wait time considering that it was a Saturday appointment. Having worked as a medical assistant for over a decade, that most certainly never occurred at any place I've ever worked nor at any doctor's office I've visited as a patient. The only minor flaw I would say at this point is that I was not informed during my confirmation appointment call that only cash is accepted for copays. Other than that I had a great first time experience.
