About Dr. Mohammad Rimawi
Dr. Rimawi is a dual board-certified podiatrist and surgeon serving patients throughout New York City. Board certified by both the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Rimawi brings advanced training, extensive surgical experience, and a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions.
His clinical expertise encompasses complex foot deformities, sports and traumatic injuries, and the full spectrum of surgical and non-surgical care. His dual board certification reflects a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of knowledge, training, and clinical excellence within his specialty.
Dr. Rimawi earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He served as class president throughout all four years of medical school and received the Student Service Award, an award selected by his graduating class to recognize the student who made the greatest contribution to the field of podiatry. He was also inducted into the Pi Delta Honor Society in recognition of his academic and research achievements.
Following medical school, Dr. Rimawi completed a rigorous three-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Emory Decatur Hospital and Jefferson Health, where he received the distinction of Podiatric Resident of the Year. He has contributed to the field through published research and academic lectures and remains actively engaged in advancing foot and ankle medicine and surgery.
